En honor a mi Rey y a mi familia tras el american drim (por eso el inglish)

Dear Scotty:

I' ve thought about writing this letter before, giving the fact that you are such a busy fellow(chyeah right) but it was not as possible, I've been in exam week. (actually sleeping or doing somethin' else but studying... I haven't really needed it, I'm smarty pants)
One of the things I wanted to mention you in this letter was about Ferni's secret santa... I believe he has forgotten the "giving" concept, thus I ask you, REMIND HIM! (Am I clear? or should I describe... *coalcoalcoal)
You know, I been thinking... A lot of people have been loosing the giving concept, and even the christmas concept! Don't be offended I mean, I know Mr. Claus is a great friend of yours (more like free psychiatrist... you write all of your problems to him) but he should not be the main character of christmas, because that IS NOT the true meaning of christmas.
"I know, it's about spending with your family and friends and not about presents" you may think, (very Charles Dickens isn't it?) but no... that is not quite it.
The birth of Jesus Christ, that is the true meaning of christmas. It is, no matter what others feel about it...
But, the thing is dear Scotty, does anybody even give themselves a time to pray or praise (other than just praying for their food, if they even do) in that joyful (more like consumerist now) day?
Unfortunately answer is no... at least not most people, which is a shame.
Christmas does not seem like a day joyful and peaceful anymore, but a consumerist, worrying-about-what-are-you-going-to-give-everybody-for, am-I-going-to-recieve-exactly-what-I-asked-for day
So, for christmas, I ask a campaing to remind this to people, the meaning of christmas and the concept of giving. There are a lot of people who would love a bit of the food we have on christmas, or at least what is left after eating (which sounds selfish to me but if that's only what other people can give..)
I don't really want material things for christmas... People have told me to ask for a cell phone or the other typical gift, an mp4.
But, why would I want another cellphone? I have a perfectly functioning one... (aside the horrible movistar service) and I don't need one that converts into a portable toilet or whatever it's in the market now.
That's just showing off... if I cheer up I might buy Ronald's, but that won't cost me more than $40, which I'm going to get from selling my game boy (games included) to Nico.
Why are we such consumists? Why do we need to have the ultimate cellphone, one that has gps in case you get lost in the freaking mall (like that would even work, cause batteries don't last more than 5 hours, you have no money to call and, go figure "Where is the gps this phone supposably has?")
Why do kids need the latest bratz, one that comes with "Ev3n m0r3 b0t0x gurl!!" and glitter for their hairs?
A Travelina that sings reggeaton (EW) and comes with jetset life clothing?
When I was eight years old, I didn't even know the word make-up, and now these kids are wearing more than I do!
Why, why oh why do girls need microscopic $2700 purses that can't even hold their "Let'z get our lipz done!" bratz (I know, scares me to see them wanting to "grow up" so fast) or their $500 cellphones that last, what? a month?
Why do kids need the last electronic invetion? To sit them in front of the t.v./computer helping their obesity (and sadly a thirst for violence too) increase?
Why?
Consumerism, money. That's all those companies care about... doesn't matter what they're doing to people...

Anyways...
I wish I could spend christmas with you guys, I miss you...
Don't forget the meaning of this holiday and what Jesus has done to our lives, be thankful and help those who don't have anything.

And, Never follow this world, because it is definitely NOT going to a good place...

Merry Christmas dear Scotty, I hope Santa reconsiders the restriction order!

Your niece and friend
María José
